Set Every Harmonic
Build your sound one harmonic band at a time, or start with a standard shape or a randomly generated starting point. You can still change each band to exactly where you want it.
Sound that moves from the inside
Imagine early synthesizers took a different path. Instead of subtractive synthesis, engineers at the time decided to build sounds up, one harmonic at a time. Additive is the classic instrument from that history. It is the one we never got to see.

Additive makes that other approach intuitive and fun. Set each harmonic individually, then shape how it moves over time. Some can pulse together while others drift, shimmer, or move in the opposite direction. Rather than sweeping a filter across a sound, you shape movement directly within its spectrum. Start with a simple harmonic structure and turn it into something rich, expressive, and full of character.
Build your sound one harmonic band at a time, or start with a standard shape or a randomly generated starting point. You can still change each band to exactly where you want it.
Set the movement of each harmonic independently: its depth, phase, and rate. Some can pulse together while others drift, shimmer, or move in the opposite direction.
Bands and Slope set the spectral roll-off. Bulk is a resonant peak with its own Position, Width, and Height. Place it anywhere in the spectrum, even above or below the roll-off, and move the two independently of one another.
Draw spectrum A and B, then Morph between them by hand, with an LFO, an envelope, or the performance controls. A note can begin as one sound and become another.
Four LFOs and four envelopes give you plenty of ways to animate the spectrum. Draw LFO shapes, sync them to tempo, and send modulation to harmonic movement, Morph, resonance, effects, or one another.
Character, detune, chorus, drive, and stereo give the harmonics extra character, attitude, and depth. Go from analog-leaning to strange, distorted, or otherworldly.
Assign brightness, movement, Morph, or anything else to the XY pad and the Z slider. Play the spectrum by hand, with Z responding to your mod wheel or the velocity of every note.
A dedicated FX section with reverb, delay, drive, compression, and EQ is built in, so your sounds leave Additive finished.
Shape your sounds from within. Control every harmonic and move it independently.
