Little Duck is a free tempo-synced ducker for iPad and desktop. No sidechain routing needed: pick a rate and it locks straight to your host's tempo.
Duck without the wiring
Real sidechain ducking needs a signal routed in from another track. Little Duck skips the wiring entirely: pick a rate and it locks straight to your host's tempo, pumping your track the way a sidechained compressor would, with nothing to patch in.
We wanted a simple duck effect that just works, to complement Little Drum Machine. So we built it. Now it's yours, for free.
Features
Shape the Pump
Four dials, Depth, Attack, Release, Shape, take you from a subtle breathing effect to the hard, classic scoop you know from EDM. Attack and Release are set as a share of the cycle, so the shape of the pump holds steady whatever rate you pick.
See What You're Shaping
A live curve display sits at the centre of the plugin, with a cycle-synced scope behind it showing your actual sound: what plays through and what gets ducked away, so you can judge the effect by eye as well as ear.
Plays Well With Your Setup
Little Duck runs as an AUv3 audio effect on iPad, load it in AUM, Logic Pro, GarageBand, Cubasis, or any other AUv3 host, as a VST3 or Audio Unit plugin on macOS, and as a VST3 plugin on Windows.
